Bezmialem Vakıf University, the university of firsts in health, hosted the Scientific Committee on 18 – 19 – 20 – 21 september. Our rector Prof. Dr. Rümeyza Kazancıoğlu, assistant rector Prof. Dr. Ethem Güneren, medical faculty dean Prof. Dr. Dilek Sema Arıcı, Health Sciences Institute Manager Prof. Dr. Semra Özçelik and distinguished academicians and students from John Hopkins University attended the event that was held at the Deanship conference hall for the BVU Medical Faculty students.
The event started after the National Anthem and Stand of Silence. Our rector Prof. Dr. Rümeyza Kazancıoğlu who carried out the opening speech of the committee, "We are gathered here together for the Scientific Committee. In this module my colleagues from the John Hopkins University, the coordinators of the Scientific Committee, will aid our students on how to evaluate the data you obtain. We expect you to share with us the studies you have carried out in a presentation. This year we are gathered here with a great team. This congress is organized in order to ensure that our students think in a unique and scientific way."
Assistant rector Prof. Dr. Ethem Güneren, who drew attention to the importance of the process's of the projects as well as the results to our attendants and students, underlined the fact that the students must work in devotion during this process.
Our dean Prof. Dr. Dilek Sema Arıcı, who carried out a speech at the congress, wished our students success for the new education year, reminding them that they need to hand in their projects as of march 14th. While the students from John Hopkins University spoke of their past experiences they engaged in collaborative work with our students. The presentations our students carried out were met with great interest and won the general approval of the Scientific Committee.
The Scientific Committee came to an end with the group studies which the John Hopkins University academicians and BVU Medical Faculty students carried out together.
